Artists at Abi's

We host and sell work from Richmond artists. Every piece on our walls has a story - here are the people behind them.

Adrian Snider

Adrian Snider

Adrian Snider is an RVA-based artist whose work explores the intersection of Virginia wildlife, urban life, and street-art culture. After earning an A.F.A. from NOVA, Adrian is continuing their education in pursuit of a degree in Art Therapy. Growing up in the rural landscape of Stafford County gave Adrian a lasting fascination with Virginia’s wildlife, while life in the city introduced new visual influences. By blending traditional charcoal illustration with elements of street art, Adrian creates work that is playful, personal, and rooted in the contrast between the woods and the city. Adrian joined the artist community at Abi’s Books & Brews in June 2025. Adrian has been generous with their time and is responsible for both the art above our beverages fridge as well as helping to decorate our community fridge. Alongside their studies, Adrian continues to create illustrations while working locally and, naturally, spending plenty of time with cats.

Shaina Cilimberg

Shaina Cilimberg

Shaina Cilimberg is a Richmond-based artist, creative entrepreneur, and disability advocate whose work is inspired by the people, places, and everyday moments that capture her attention. Working in acrylic, watercolor, drawing, and digital art, Shaina creates an eclectic mix of landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, animals, coffee-shop scenes, abstract pieces, and imaginative works. Richmond and the surrounding community frequently appear in her art, along with places she has visited, places she hopes to see, and scenes drawn entirely from her imagination. Art has also become a way for Shaina to build a life on her own terms. As a person living with multiple disabilities, she is passionate about challenging assumptions about what people with disabilities can accomplish. Her persistence as an independent artist and entrepreneur is closely connected to her advocacy for greater inclusion, opportunity, and disability acceptance. Shaina has been part of Richmond’s local art community for more than a decade, exhibiting and selling her work through galleries, local businesses, markets, and community events. She is especially interested in creating work that is approachable, meaningful, sometimes unexpected, and ultimately enjoyable to live with. Original artwork and select pieces are available for purchase, and Shaina is open to serious inquiries from collectors, businesses, and others interested in her work.
